Devon 2013: Day #1

Summer is here, and to enforce the sunny arrival, me and my family have recently gone to Devon (South-West of England) for a holiday. Every year we go camping and have a day out each day during that period. This year has been no different.
So my next few entries will be my experience of Devon through photos.
Day one was the tedious 'pack everything in the car and hope it fits day', which surely called for lazy/confy travel clothes. 3 hours later and the tent set up it was time for a walk and local beach visit. Perfect! The views were beautiful and it was a lovely, traditional seaside town experience.

The Campsite (all above photos) was beautiful! I felt privileged to stay there.

The beach was just as lush and scenic as the town, look a little windswept here!

This made me giggle so I had to snap it! Fits me perfectly.
Also the Newberry Valley campsite had it's own USP (unique selling point) to offer. It was situated right next to a Wolf Hybrid sanctuary! (owned by Shaun Ellis). Yes you read right, we could here them howl every evening, to which I'm still deciding whether it was completely eerie or really wonderful. They even walked them through the park on leads. Read here to learn more, it is so fascinating, in 2005 Ellis spent 18 months living in captivity at Combe Martin Wildlife Park with three abandoned wolf pups - Yana, Tamaska and Matsi, educating them to be wild wolves and becoming the pack's alpha male.

Review: Maybelline New york 'Color Show' Nail Polish.

One of my recent purchases has been the new 'Color Show' nail polish by Colorama- Maybelline, and I'm really glad I bought it!

The reason I was looking to buy a new nail polish to add to my collection was because I wanted something new for my new job. Also a colour that would help me feel empowered and reinforce that I can try new things. So the shade 349 Power Red- perfect. The price was great for my student pockets, a very efficient £2.99. Could not say no.
I was definitely not let down either. The coulour only needed a base, one coat and maybe a clear top coat to prevent chipping, depending on your personal preference.

It glided on very easily, the colour was very strong and bright, which was just what I was looking for to make a good impression in work, I would thoroughly recommend you to buy this! My only con is that I wish I bought so many more colours.

#1 Tuesday Trend's I'm Loving

Working in retail has really opened up my eye to how often stock and trends change and mix up. It's incredible to find out and learn what fashion pieces and staples that you (the customer) purchase regularly.

(all above from selectfashion)

This month I have been seeing a lot of Aztec based pencil skirts, monochrome, tie-dye and disco. With all this warm weather brightly coloured Aztec maxi's and crop tops are a popular seller. Alongside two strap sandals and plimsolls, I am definitely investing in a bold skirt and nude sandals to help my legs look longer!
Also Select are embracing the Disco trend, which is a mix of bright, figure huggging disco pants a la 1970's. Also I have recently seen lots of eye-catching a power emitting tiger prints on tasseled and cropped tee's. Which I have fallen dearly for, teamed with washed out denim shorts, bundles of chunky bangles, a tan bag + sandals and sandals (with ankle straps)- it would be the perfect beach outfit this summer.
