Bolder the Better
Having the chance to participate in the LATCH Fashion Show was an amazing experience on its own as I had a chance to give back to an amazing charity, but also it gave me the needed opportunity to practice applying make-up as I hope to go into media make-up as a career in the future. I absolutely 100% enjoyed trying out different colours as the brief for the show was big, bold and colourful to try and coincide with the shows Alice In Wonderland theme. So big, dramatic eyes were definitely the choice of the night. But also making sure it suited the girls I was applying the make-up on of course.
LATCH Fashion Show
This year to raise money in our school a team of us helped out by trying to organise a fashion show, the process was long a quite stressful but on the night it really was amazing! We organised the fashion show for a charity called LATCH. LATCH is a fantastic charity close to our hearts, it is a charity that supports children and their families suffering with Leukaemia or cancer. Through this fashion show we could raise money for LATCH.
On the night the show looked absolutely amazing and I really enjoyed going, the atmosphere was incredible too, while there I took some photos to share with you;
There were live performances. The talented Sophie Hulmes sang and played guitar.
The fashion Show was hosted by Josh Evans and Ellie Rice- check out her Blog!
The runway showcased both GCSE and A-level pieces which were beautiful. But also a local bridal store kindly donated dresses for the show too. The dresses from Pink Butterfly Brides are in the pictures shown below!
We had very talented dancers!
I really hope everyone enjoyed the show as much as I did and I'm so proud of everyone who took part on and off the stage, it was amazing and I'll never forget it!

Chance to support Gabrielle Aplin
Yep, you read that title right, imagine that, having the chance to support Gabrielle Aplin? Well you don't have to imagine because it's a possibility for some lucky people, such as the rock/acoustic band Fire Fences. I must admit I kinda actually love their music, and I bet you will too if you give it a listen;
This is their original song (the first they've written) by the band members;

Late Night Drink
The perfect way to end a long evening walk is definitely a hot drink, especially a Hot Chocolate with all the trimmings! So obviously that's what me Hannah and Becky have done, made hot chocolate with Bassett Flumps and chocolate flakes. There is really no point to this entry but to just show off our hot chocolates to all of you!
my personal favourite, options hazelnut hot chocolate!
Why not let me know your favourite hot chocolate in the comments below?!
How To: Braid & Bun
Now that it's slowly creeping into summer we can all hope, dream and presume that hot weather will come hand in hand with the change! well finger's crossed anyway.
If the weather is really warm chances are a few of us (yes ALL of us) are going to get all stuffy and overly hot, resulting in doing anything to keep mischievous hair out of our faces and necks.
So in this entry I thought I'd share the result of a new hairstyle we found, using the mix of a braid (which will add fun and excitement to many summer outfits) and a top knot/messy bun- beach chic! Which my sister, Hannah tried out on our little sisters.
This hairstyle is fairly easy to achieve and I think it's a great way to keep all eyes and concentration on the outfit your wearing, allowing a cool breeze to pass on your neck on those warm days (hopefully some sunshine, but it's Britain so most likely rain, sigh!) But also you could boost your hair by adding volume beach curls or little accessories/clips to make a plain outfit pop.

This look is so easy to achieve and is individual each time, it can be messy and understated if you are not that confident with braiding or tight and neat to show flare. The best way to make the plait is to tip your head upside down and brush through hair so it is all in one direction, at this point it's okay to get someone to help you plait or even plait for you. you plait from the base of your neck to the crown of your head in the similar way of doing a French plait! Then when your happy tie the top of your hair in a ponytail. Here you can lift your head up and style your bun whether it be sleek and neat or messy and gutsy (secure again with a bobble or elastic).
Here are the braids and knots Hannah managed to style in my little sisters hair!
To me I think this style looks like a lot of work and effort to achieve and will fetch many compliments, but you have the pleasure of knowing it was simple and easy! I think braids are a perfect welcome to summer and everyone should have a go, if you are a fan or have found any new summer inspired hairstyles recently let me know by linking or adding a picture in the comments below!
Or why not even tweet me?- they could feature in my future blog entry (social networking sites are linked on the navigation bar of my blog homepage- my twitter is https://twitter.com/BetthanyParsons if you get a little lost!). lets hope we all have a warm and sunny summer!
